Back And Ready To Roll :)

I have had a lovely holiday with my family in the beautiful town of Apollo Bay. It's always refreshing to explore new treasures and to just be in a different place.
We are all feeling recharged, and with the rest of the week to enjoy the end of school holidays at home, I am starting to think about some new bag designs with some fab new green fabric that I picked up before we went away.
Looking forward to getting back on to my machine and realizing my designs :)

Spring Is On her Way

Yesterday I went for a walk with my children in the pre-spring sunshine. I was so delighted in all the beautiful botanical activity I couldn't help but attempting to capture some of it with my camera, nature sure is glorious :))

Handmade Bag For The Lovely Ellen

My friend Ellen loves red! It was her birthday recently so I decided to design something just for her. The rose fabric in this bag is gorgeous, it is the last piece I have so I was really happy to make it part of this gift for my lovely Friend Ellen xxx

Holiday Adventures

We are back from a fabulous week away at the beach. We were especially lucky with the weather, with the winter sun blessing us with it's rays.
School starts next week so we are all a little sad. Two weeks has sped past but it has been lots of fun.
Back to routine and schedules :(.
But I am looking forward to jumping back onto my sewing machine and creating some items :).

Holidays - Time For A change Of Scenery

It's third term holidays here in Australia and we are off and away for the rest of the week. We are looking forward to a change of scenery - the beach! Winter is a fabulous time to go to the coast and explore it's treasures. So I an "hanging' up the sewing machine and taking out the walking boots and related holiday items :)

Twins Turn 8!

It's hard to believe that my twin boys turned 8 today. Time has sped by at a rate of knots! It has been a fabulous journey and a privilege to have had two such beautiful boys together.
Now you know that I LOVE making bags, my children see the process of construction and the whirlwind of fabric and bits and pieces that storm through our house.
The boys have been asking me for quite a while to make them a "boy" version to house their D.S player and special treasure!
Well what better time to deliver than on their birthday.
They were joyfully received and full of "stuff" within minutes.

Easter Adventures

Easter is a lovely time to getaway with the family and spend sometime together having fun!
The beach this year was fabulous, with the children swimming everday - too cold for me but sunshine and water were irresistible to them!

The Charm Of Beads

Another fun holiday activity at our house is beading. Beads are such beautiful creations coming in all shapes, sizes, colours and textures; not unlike humanity.
My three, love sorting beads into appealing pattern and designs. They put together five different patterns and then select two of their masterpieces to produce.
There are going to be some lucky teachers when we return from holidays :)

Creativity in the Family

It is school holidays and the weather is cool and showery, there is no better time for making and creating.
My three have been industrious for hours decorating and constructing castles and designing jigsaw puzzles for each other to do.
Now they are making up plays for their favourite "littlest Pets" and the castles.
So much fun!

Melbourne Getaway

Robert and I have been married for 14 years and decided to take a three day break and "live it up" at the Hyatt in the heart of Melbourne.
We left our worries, regular responsibilities, and three children behind and had a blast.
I believe we all need a bit of luxury and pampering every now and then - hang the cost, life is tooooooo short to always be working.
I am feeling refreshed and full of creativity so it's back to the "studio" ie backroom to my fabric and machine.
cheers =)

Donations For The School Fair!

Our school fair is next Saturday, it is always a large event with many stalls and items of interest for the school and local community to enjoy.
One of the stalls is a craft one. I have made some stylish bags for girls.
My ten year old daughter approves of this "mini" collection, wanting one for her own wardrobe :).
Here's to fine weather and crowds of hungry shoppers!

A Quilt For Jaspar

On the 11th of March my gorgeous sister-in-law delivered a beautiful baby boy Jaspar Vincent Conway a brother for Sam and Lucy.
The arrival of a new baby is always a celebratory event, my three children are delighted to have a brand new cousin.
I loved making this quilt for little Jaspar, the fabric is so cute, and the colours blend so well together.
I look forward to watching him roll all over it!

A Quilt For A Friend - Part 4

Well the quilt is finished and the baby that it was created for has arrived.
Willow was born on the 24th of February as gorgeous as all expected.
I am really happy with the end results and the purchasing of a quilting foot for my machine took away all the problems I have had in the past putting the layers together smoothly.
Welcome to the world beautiful girl :)
